You don't have to be a boffin to work in science

That's the aim of an initiative of "made in Devon" films being distributed to all secondary schools in England and Wales by the Science Council in London.

In the films - sponsored by the Gatsby Charitable Foundation - young college students and apprentices talk about their area of study or work and their career aspirations.

The case studies cover everything from optics to sport science to animal care.

The Devon films were made at Exeter College, Bicton College and an apprentice from City College Plymouth.
