As the recent cold snap thaws, many gardeners are left wondering what "climate change" has in-store for their gardens. A recent announcement by Plymouth City Council has revealed that the City of Plymouth has one of the lowest Carbon Footprints in the UK, but that doesn't mean as a city we are effected by extreme weather conditions any less. The City Council has been awarded a grant of £256, 040, to develop a local Carbon Framework, but this won't place Plymouth in a protective little weather bubble, we'll still be effected by the conditions that the rest of Devon will be unless the whole world stands up and takes action. But, this new scheme will create 30,000 much needed jobs for the city by 2020. So in the short the weather will not change too much but over the next 30 years we can expect there to be warmer Summers and Colder Winters, but we must be prepared.
