"It is the responsibility of the scientist to to make sure his discoveries are understood by the general public, it is down to him to make sure the media does not sensationalise the simplest and most innocent of discoveries and cause nation or world wide panic, and finally it is down to him to promote his science and generate interest and passion for his subject"
Scientists have long lost the ability to deliver their ideas to the general public, they have been taught to speak in a foreign language, one that allows them to communicate effectively with their peers but halts communication with their public. Scientists need to relearn the English language and take on the responsibility of communicating effectively their ideas to others that are not versed in scientific jargon.
In the coming posts this will be an issue I will discussing widely and I welcome your thoughts and views.
