As our professional body that educates the public in geological material, the Geological Society of London is trusted and respected and can be relied upon to provide the public with accurate information. Or can it?
I am a member of the GSL facebook group, and I log on today and what do I find? An advertisement of the GSL's latest podcast and it's title " Is Great Britain on the verge of a geological catastrophe?" as a geoscientist I'm quite sure we're not, and I haven't listened to the pod cast yet but what message is this sending to the public?
I am going to listen to the podcast when I get home and will update the blog with its contents.
